Benang Stokel Waterfall and Bengang Kelambu Waterfall- Lombok

Lombok is filled with stunning waterfalls, including Benang Stokel Waterfall and Benang Kelambu Waterfall. Benang Stokel Waterfalls are located in central Lombok and are not to be missed on your adventure through Lombok.

HOW TO GET TO BENGANG STOKEL WATERFALL

The main waterfall at this location is Bengang Stokel Water, however, there are actually 5 waterfalls at this location, including Benang Kelambu. If you wish to visit these waterfalls, I recommend hiring a motorbike. If you need more info about renting a motorbike, click HERE.

Thomas and I were visiting BUKIT SELONG for the sunrise that day, so we decided to hire a driver. The cost was 800,000 as it was a 12 hour day. Really not too bad. If you want to do it via motorbike then you can expect to pay anywhere from 50,000 to 70,000 Rupiah per day.

As I mentioned earlier, these waterfalls are located in central Lombok, so it is about the same drive whether you stay in Kuta or Senggigi.

I have attached a map below with the exact location the Benang Stokel Waterfall and Benang Kelambu Waterfall.

WHAT TO EXPECT- BENANG STOKEL WATERFALL

Thomas and I were really taken aback by how busy this place was! We kind of thought we were going to some secret waterfalls, we were wrong. When we arrived we were asked to come inside and chat about the waterfalls. They tried to sell us a guide and motorbike ride. You do not need this!

Our entrance fee was 70,000 Rupiah, which was a bit insane and we tried to get it down, but they wouldn’t budge. We paid our fee and were on our way.

We actually had no idea where to go as there are roads going in so many directions. But now that you have this guide, you won’t be lost like we were. When you walk through the main gate onto the gravel road, take a left straight away, before you walk up the hill. This path will take you to Benang Stokel Waterfall in two minutes.

We made the mistake of walking up the hill, getting lost, before getting picked by a local truck for free whom eventually brought us to Benang Kelambu Waterfall. HA!

Anyways, head to Benang Stokel Waterfall and hang out there for a bit first. There is also a waterfall where you can cliff jump at. It is going to be the one when you are walking down over the bridge. Be sure if you cliff jump, you check for debris and know the depth. If you’re unsure, just don’t jump, it’s not worth it.

BENANG KELAMBU WATERFALL

Once you’re finished at Benang Stokel Waterfall, you can head up the hill opposite of where you came down. There is going to be some shacks selling water and motorbikes waiting to take you to Benang Kelambu Waterfall. You can walk but it is going to save you a 30-minute walk, or more if you get lost.  It only cost around 20,000 Rupiah per person.

Once you have made it to Benang Kelambu Waterfall, you will see there is one actual waterfall and another wall of water, it’s not so much a waterfall. It is still seriously insane, and worth the hike over.

WHERE TO STAY IN LOMBOK

Lombok is quite large so what you’re planning on doing while visiting, will determine where you stay. If you plan on visiting waterfalls in the north and hiking Mt. Rinjani, you can stay either up north or in Senggigi at HOLIDAY RESORT LOMBOK, like we did. If you do decide to book at Holiday Resort be sure to use code “lombokgreatsale” for a sneaky little discount!

If you’re more looking for relaxing, and stunning beaches, I recommend staying in Kuta. Thomas and I stayed at KUTA BARU HOTEL and it was so lovely!

I hope you enjoyed this post about Benang Stokel Waterfall and Benang Kelambu Waterfall! If you did, remember sharing is caring!
