Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfall- The Best Secret Waterfall in Bali

Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfall

Banyu Wana Amertha is the best secret waterfall in Bali, this place is pure magic! Not to mention the fact that there are actually two waterfalls within 180 degrees of one another? At this stunning spot not only can you find Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfall, but also Bhuanasari Waterfall.

In this guide, I reveal the exact location of this stunning falls, what to expect when you arrive and some photos to inspire your next visit!

I genuinely don’t know how this secret waterfall in Bali has gone under the radar for so long as it is nestled amongst some of Bali’s most famous falls such as LEKE LEKE WATERFALL and BANYUMALA WATERFALL. Whether you are coming from Canggu area or Ubud, it is going to be a bit of a mission. I recommend hitting up several waterfalls on your day of exploration!

Whether you are heading from Canggu area or Ubud, you are looking at roughly an hour and a half drive up into the mountain. If you are heading out in the morning be sure to bring a sweater as it gets absolutely freezing when you don’t have the suns warmth.

Regardless of where you are coming from, you will need a method of transportation to Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfall. Depending on your style and what you feel comfortable with you have a couple options. You can either RENT A MOTORBIKE, or you can hire a private driver for the day. Renting a motorbike costs around 60,000 Rupiah per day and is definitely my preferred method of transportation. For those of you who have driven a motorbike before then you know the freedom and sense of adventure it gives you.

If you feel more confident hiring a private driver to take you to the best secret waterfall in Bali, then you can expect to pay around 700,000 Rupiah for the full day. If you are in a large group this is actually quite reasonable, and they will take you wherever you like.

I have attached a map below with the exact location of these epic falls.

From the moment we arrived at this magical secret waterfall, we were greeted with smiles from the local kids and the most wonderful energy.

This road is loaded with signs to waterfalls that line the mountains in the area, so be sure you turn down the one reading Bayu Wana Amertha Waterfalls. Once you arrive, the entrance fee is 20,000 Rupiah per person but it is so, so worth it. They have built a small structure that saved our butts from the rainstorm that hit just after we arrive. They were also planting beautiful shrubbery to enhance the pre-existing magic of the falls.

The hike is mellow for the most part with clear footing with just a few steep stairs at the end of the trail by the falls. It should take around 20 minutes from the waterfall back to the main parking lot.

Be prepared for amazement once you arrive at the falls, there is just something so special about this place. It is just so lush and filled with beautiful shrubbery. You will see what I mean when you arrive.

Thomas and I got absolutely poured on about 30 minutes after arriving so I apologize for the lack of photos of Bhuanasari Waterfall. Once the rains subsided there were about 40 local kids there, I think they were girl and boy scouts.

This is hands down my favorite secret waterfall in Bali.

No matter where you’re staying in Bali it is going to be a drive to get to Banyu Wana Amertha Secret Waterfall. When we visited the Banyu Wana Waterfall we were staying in Ubud at TOYA VILLA SUWETA and it was absolutely lovely. Check the link to see current pricing and availability.

It is also very possible to mission to Banyu Wana Waterfall from Canggu area. If that is the case I highly recommend staying at UDARA BALI. This place is an absolute sanctuary with 4 different pools and a massive sauna, as well as daily yoga!
